The Wesson Cobras fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They secured a 45-41 W over West Lincoln on Tuesday. For Wesson, this counts as revenge for the 65-35 defeat West Lincoln walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November.
Wesson was led to victory by Kemari Brown and Omari Johnson. Brown scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds, while Johnson scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Austin Johnson, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
Wesson pushed their record up to 2-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for West Lincoln, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Wesson will head out on the road to face off against Bogue Chitto at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West Lincoln, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Puckett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
