Volleyball Recap: Serena Extends Winning Streak to Two

Serena won the last time they faced Somonauk and things went their way on Friday too. The Huskers didn't even let the Bobcats on the board, marking the Huskers' second-straight 2-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20.

Kendall Whiteaker paced Serena's offense, picking up eight kills. Whiteaker got some help from Rebekah Shugrue and her 16 assists.

Serena's record now sits at 14-6-1. As for Somonauk, they moved to 12-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Serena wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Newark on the 11th. As for Somonauk, they will welcome Hinckley-Big Rock at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
