The Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 56-26 loss at the hands of Frankford. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Maritime Academy Charter has suffered since December 6, 2023.
Several Seadogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaseer Mann, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Jayriel Arroyo was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds.
Maritime Academy Charter struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Frankford racked up 16 assists.
Frankford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cameren Lane, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Lane scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaire Washington, who scored 16 points.
Maritime Academy Charter bumped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Frankford, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Maritime Academy Charter will be playing in front of their home fans against Simon Gratz at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frankford, they will head out on the road to face off against Germantown Friends at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
