South Effingham has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Brunswick Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
On Tuesday, South Effingham lost to Brunswick at home by a decisive 62-48 margin.
Despite their loss, South Effingham saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Corbin McGuire, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Aidan Harris was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds.
South Effingham dropped their record down to 0-16 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight at home. As for Brunswick, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13.
