The Burroughs Bears can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 67-63 W over Hoover. The win was just what Burroughs needed coming off of a 75-54 loss in their prior matchup.
Landon Everhart continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Chase Kardosh was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Burroughs' win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Hoover, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burroughs will take on Muir at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Muir will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 679th, while Burroughs is ranked 322nd). As for Hoover, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Burbank at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Burbank is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
