The Centerville Miners gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They blew past Highwood, posting a 58-29 win at home. That's another feather in the cap for Centerville, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Centerville to victory were Cole Noble and Luke Kelley. Noble scored 15 points, while Kelley scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Olson, who scored 8 points.
Centerville's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Highwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Centerville will square off against Saco/Whitewater/Hinsdale at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Highwood will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Great Falls Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th.
