While Joel Barlow's win against Lewis Mills wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons skirted past the Spartans 10-9. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won three in a row.

Kenny Esposito made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Esposito was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Gavin Maryott was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Connor Thomas, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Joel Barlow was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Newtown's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Bethel by a score of 4-2.
Newtown's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-4. As for Joel Barlow, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
