Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Collins Hill

Collins Hill extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Kaleigh Heywood. The Collins Hill Eagles breezed by the Peachtree Ridge Lions to the tune of 53-19 on Saturday thanks in part to Heywood, who posted 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Jazaii Davila, who scored nine points and three steals. Those nine points gave her a new career-high.

Collins Hill's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-12. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.7 points per game. As for Peachtree Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-18.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Collins Hill Eagles duke it out with the Mill Creek Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mill Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Peachtree Ridge, they will square off against Berkmar at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Peachtree Ridge is facing Berkmar at the right time seeing as Berkmar is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
