It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Bandera BULLDOGS had no problem doing just that on Friday. They managed a 32-27 victory over Jarrell. The victory was nothing new for Bandera as they're now sitting on six straight.
Jesse Cardenas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 219 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JaMarion Nibblett, who rushed for 183 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Nibblett was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards. Mason Dotson was another key contributor, picking up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Bandera's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Jarrell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Bandera will take on Ingleside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jarrell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
