Portage Northern had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Central Bearcats 3-0 on Wednesday. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Huskies this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Portage Northern was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-11, 25-13.

Portage Northern's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Portage Northern and Central will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Huskies are set to face off against their familiar foe Mattawan at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Central will challenge rival Lakeview at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
