Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodmont). They secured a 57-51 W over the Eastside Eagles on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-47 back in December of 2024.

Eastside's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Laila Harvey, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. Kristen McBride was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 10 points and seven steals.

Woodmont is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Eastside, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Woodmont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Easley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodmont is facing Easley at the right time seeing as Easley is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Eastside, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Wade Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Wade Hampton will have lost five straight heading into Tuesday's contest.
