Bellevue West (Bellevue, Neb.) had its advantage, which at one point stood at 18 points, drop to 10 before the final whistle blew on a 34-24 victory over
Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, Neb.).
After nabbing the lead on a
Drew Klein touchdown run, the Titans went into halftime with a 10-7 lead. The Thunderbirds took the lead to win the game on a touchdown in the third quarter.
Brad Brazeal and
Mike Gilbert ran for a bunch of touchdowns for Papillion-LaVista South. Brazeal scored two touchdowns on the ground and Gilbert added two as well.
The win brought Bellevue West's winning streak to four games.
