The Groesbeck Goats will head out on the road to challenge the Westwood Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Groesbeck unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Buffalo.
Meanwhile, Westwood took their game on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 79-44 victory over the Elks. Westwood pushed the score to 63-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Elks had little chance of recovering from.
Kavian Bryant continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 35 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. He hasn't dropped below 17 points for ten straight games. Chris Carter was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six steals and five assists.
Groesbeck's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Westwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.
Groesbeck was dealt a bruising 86-19 loss at the hands of the Panthers in their previous matchup back in January. Can Groesbeck avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
