Castle View has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Highlands Ranch Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Last Friday, Castle View faced Rock Canyon in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Castle View took a 10-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rock Canyon.
Meanwhile, Highlands Ranch's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Mountain Vista 48-8. Highlands Ranch was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-8.
Jack Kearns put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 107 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Castle View has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season. As for Highlands Ranch, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Castle View was able to grind out a solid victory over Highlands Ranch in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, winning 23-14. Does Castle View have another victory up their sleeve, or will Highlands Ranch turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
