The Meeker Bulldogs's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Holdenville Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Meeker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 370th, while Holdenville is ranked 37th).
Last Tuesday, Meeker was the victim of a rough 58-33 loss at the hands of Varnum. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Meeker in their matchups with Varnum: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Holdenville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wewoka. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Holdenville has scored all season.
Despite their defeat, Holdenville saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Belle Mcfarland, who scored 11 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Cylee Null, who scored ten points.
Meeker's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Holdenville, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-1.
Meeker took a serious blow against Holdenville in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 65-25. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Meeker was down 47-11.
