Back at the plate, Brayden Mann was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Sean Walsh, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Lake Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .766. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Northwest came up short against Field two weeks ago, falling 14-2. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Northwest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Palmer, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Lake Catholic pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.
