The Hardaway Hawks lost to the Bainbridge Bearcats back in February of 2023, but the Hardaway Hawks didn't allow the Bainbridge Bearcats the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Hardaway secured a 53-47 W over Bainbridge.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hardaway to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mekhi Benton, who scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamell Mims, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Hardaway's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8. As for Bainbridge, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
Hardaway's road trip will continue as they head out to face Russell County at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Bainbridge, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cairo at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Cairo focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Friday.
