The Lamar County Trojans won the last time they faced the Jackson Red Devils, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Lamar County blew past Jackson 55-30.
Lamar County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zakiria Foster out in front who scored 15 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shakiria Foster, who scored 13 points.
Lamar County's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Jackson, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Lamar County will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mary Persons at 7:00 p.m. Mary Persons presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lamar County in Georgia (Mary Persons is ranked 137th, while Lamar County is ranked 285th). As for Jackson, they will head out on the road to face off against Social Circle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Social Circle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
