Despite the loss, Charlotte Catholic still got an impressive performance from Blanca Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 15 rebounds. Thomas scored a full 61.1% of Charlotte Catholic's points, the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Gracynn Gough, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Zamareya Jones was her usual excellent self, scoring 41 points along with five rebounds and four steals for North Pitt. The match was Jones' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Jordan Speller was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven assists and five steals.
Charlotte Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 10-1. As for North Pitt, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Charlotte Catholic and Pickerington Central will face off at 1:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Pickerington Central is ranked second in Ohio, while Charlotte Catholic is ranked second in North Carolina).
