With a playoff game on the line, the Tolar Rattlers rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 42-19 victory. Tolar's victory was all the more impressive since Marlin was averaging only 16.36 points allowed on the season.
Isaac Blessing continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 118 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 75 yards and a touchdown. Tolar also got a significant boost from Peyton Brown, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 114 yards.
The victory (which was Tolar's 11th in a row) raised their record to 13-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 43.09 points. As for Marlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2-1.
Tolar will be staying on the road on December 8th to face off against Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th. Stratford is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Marlin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
