Madison is 10-0 against Austin since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Madison Marlins will head out on the road to square off against the Austin Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Madison is looking to tack on another W to their 11-game streak on the road.
Madison put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Sharpstown 93-45 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-16.
Madison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joe Whylie led the charge by scoring 17 points along with five rebounds. Anthony Avalos was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Austin didn't have too much trouble with Wisdom on the road on Saturday as they won 65-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Austin.
Madison is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Austin, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
Everything came up roses for Madison against Austin in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 88-47 victory. Will Madison repeat their success, or does Austin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
