Genesee is 2-8 against Potlatch since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Genesee Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Potlatch Loggers at 6:00 p.m. Genesee is out to stop a ten-game streak of losses at home.
Genesee suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against Lapwai, falling 105-43. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Genesee in their matchups with Lapwai: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the defeat, Genesee got a solid performance out of Seth Vestal, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Potlatch stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Clearwater Valley as Potlatch made off with a 69-47 win. Given Potlatch's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Clearwater Valley is ranked 69th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Genesee's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Potlatch, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-1.
Genesee was taken down by Potlatch 62-31 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Genesee was down 45-18.
