When it comes to explaining why Carnegie lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Karlee Tahkofper. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 57.1% of Carnegie's points, marking the 11th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory was the sixth in a row for Riverside Indian, bringing their record for this year to 13-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points per game. As for Carnegie, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Riverside Indian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Southwest Covenant at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Southwest Covenant will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Riverside Indian is ranked 28th). As for Carnegie, they will take on Gracemont at TBD on Monday. Gracemont is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
