Soccer Recap: American Leadership Academy Has No Trouble Against Pelion

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask American Leadership Academy). They put the hurt on the Pelion Panthers with a sharp 5-0 win on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

American Leadership Academy hit Pelion with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from McKaylee Garrett (2), Kayleigh Purdy (2), and Maddison McClain.

The win made it two in a row for American Leadership Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two contests. As for Pelion, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American Leadership Academy will welcome Saluda at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pelion, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Pelion take on Ninety Six at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
