St. Clair and Marysville are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Saints will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Marysville will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: St. Clair extended their winning streak to four on Thursday. The Saints' pitcher stepped up to hand Lakeview a 14-0 shutout.

Gracie Pickelhaupt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Madisyn Treat was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Oles, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
St. Clair kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Marysville made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sterling Heights Stevenson on Thursday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 14-0 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
St. Clair's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Marysville, their record now sits at 10-5.
St. Clair beat Marysville 8-4 in their previous meeting last Monday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
