The McDowell Titans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Avery County 86-49 on the road. McDowell might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matches by 37 points or more this season.
Leading McDowell to victory were Clara McCartha and Kensly Stewart. McCartha scored 12 points, while Stewart scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kimora Stewart, who scored nine points.
Reagan Greer and Adyson Dellinger certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Greer scored nine points, while Dellinger scored six points.
The victory (which was McDowell's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.67 points. As for Avery County, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDowell will be home for the holidays to greet Burns at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Avery County will be home for the holidays to greet Rosman at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Rosman's defense has only allowed 28.3 points per game this season, so Avery County's offense will have their work cut out for Avery County.
