The Warsaw Wildcats had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down South Callaway 46-28 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Warsaw sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Warsaw's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josh Harvath, who rushed for 134 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Jayce Depriest, who rushed for 162 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Warsaw's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Drake Murrell and his two sacks.
Warsaw has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for South Callaway, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Warsaw will head out on the road to face off against Father Tolton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Father Tolton's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. South Callaway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
