Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jayda Green and Isabel Garza Lead Foothill to Victory

Foothill waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Highland Scots 57-34. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Leading Foothill to victory were Isabel Garza and Jayda Green. Garza went 6 for 11from beyond the arc on her way to 24 points and four steals, while Green almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds. The contest was Garza's third in a row with at least ten points. Marihya Portis was another key player, putting up nine points and six steals.

The victory got Foothill back to even at 3-3. As for Highland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Foothill will be playing in front of their home fans against Chavez at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland, they will venture away from home to take on Mira Monte at 4:00 p.m. on December 20th.
