The Coweta Tigers waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Edison 52-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Coweta has posted yet this season.
Coweta got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Jensen out in front who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Caden Garrett, who scored 11 points.
Coweta pushed their record up to 5-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.67 points across that stretch. As for Edison, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-5.
Coweta will head out on the road to take on Will Rogers College at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Will Rogers College focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Edison, they will be playing at home against Sapulpa at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Sapulpa is ranked 92nd, while Edison is ranked 97th).
