The Wartburg Central Bulldogs lost against the Jellico Blue Devils back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Wartburg Central had to suffer through a rough 72-43 loss at the hands of the Blue Devils. Wartburg Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jellico had a senior duo take command as Carson Bolton almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine steals and Isaac Mcnealy dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Bolton is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 18 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Vann, who scored 11 points.
Wartburg Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Jellico, they pushed their record up to 13-9 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Wartburg Central will challenge the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Oakdale knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully the Bulldogs like a good challenge. As for Jellico, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
