The Anaheim Colonists managed to keep up with the Katella Knights until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Anaheim took a serious blow against Katella, falling 69-33. Anaheim has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Katella's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luis Montejo, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Montejo is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Curtis, who almost dropped a triple-double on 13 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists.
The last time Anaheim won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost four straight away games, they've bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Katella, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Anaheim will head out on the road to face off against Magnolia Science Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Magnolia Science Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Katella, they will be playing at home against Rancho Alamitos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
