Union Springs put another one in the bag  on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Newfield Trojans  a   14-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Paityn Delaney was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kate Herrling and  Maddie Ward did most of the damage at the plate:  Herrling  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI, while  Ward  went 1-for-2 with three  runs and one  RBI.  Ella Daugherty was another key player,  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances with three  RBI.
 Union Springs  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in five consecutive  games.
Union Springs pushed their record up to 8-0 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home.
