Jersey Shore and Shikellamy are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will welcome the Braves at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jersey Shore will be strutting in after a win while Shikellamy will be coming in after a defeat.
On Monday, Jersey Shore earned a 4-1 victory over Shamokin Area.

Zach Myers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nolen Pauling, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Collin Berguson, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Shikellamy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Williamsport.
Chayse Snyder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Stahl, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Jersey Shore's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5. As for Shikellamy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
Jersey Shore's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's matchup. The Bulldogs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Shikellamy, though, as they've been averaging only 1.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Jersey Shore continue to outrun the ball?
Jersey Shore beat Shikellamy 5-1 in their previous matchup last Wednesday. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
