The Cotulla Cowboys's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-59 win over Freer. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Peyton Borden and Ayden Ramirez certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Borden scored 21 points along with 8 steals and 7 assists, while Ramirez scored 16 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joesph Serna , who scored 5 points along with 6 rebounds.
Cotulla's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Freer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Cotulla will head out on the road to face off against George West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Freer, they will stay at home for another game and welcome San Isidro at 3:30 p.m. on December 7th.
