After a string of six wins, DeWitt's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rison Wildcats. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

DeWitt's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Rison, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DeWitt will host Harrisburg at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rison, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Rison Wildcats take on Hamburg Lions at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in their favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Hamburg has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
