After having lost a blowout to Santa Fe Indian in their previous game, Cuba was happy to find some success on Thursday. Cuba took their game against Santa Fe Indian 25-16. Santa Fe Indian can consider this payback for the 6-46 loss they dealt Cuba the last time the teams encountered one another.
Cuba's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 19 points in the first half. Santa Fe Indian came up with 8 to put the score at 19-8. Cuba were outperformed in the second half 6-8 but had enough in reserve from the first to take the contest. This was the first game for both teams, giving Cuba a 1-0 record and starting Santa Fe Indian off at 0-1.
