Despite the loss, Ahoskie Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jaelen Rascoe almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine rebounds. The matchup was Rascoe's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Martin, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 21 points.
Terra Ceia Christian pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Ahoskie Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Terra Ceia Christian has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 44.8 boards per game.
