Senior Cameron Podruchny and junior Eli Harris were among the main playmakers for Halifax Academy as the former threw 2 TDs and punched in 1 rushing TD and the latter rushed for 80 yards and 1 touchdown. If you haven't heard Harris's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past six games. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Cody Wood, who racked up nine tackles.
Halifax Academy added further sheen to their flawless record, now 6-0. Lawrence Academy are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-6.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Halifax Academy take on Northeast Academy at 7:00 PM. Northeast Academy have averaged 48 points over the course of their past six games, so Halifax Academy might be in for a challenge. Lawrence Academy will be staying on the road, facing off against Community Christian.
