It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Crofton Warriors can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 46-32 to Exeter-Milligan/Friend. Crofton's loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
Crofton's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jace Panning, who rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Wyatt Tramp was in the mix too, providing Crofton with two touchdowns.
It was another big night for Breckan Schluter, who rushed for 348 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Schluter was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
Crofton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-1. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Crofton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Exeter-Milligan/Friend will be staying on the road on November 20th to face off against Stanton at 10:15 a.m. on November 20th. Stanton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 games -- so hopefully Exeter-Milligan/Friend likes a good challenge.
