Baseball Recap: Oxford Extends Winning Streak to Three

Oxford entered their tilt with Lane Tech on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Champions.

Rocco Mamiscalco was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Hudson Gilman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Oxford's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Lane Tech, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Oxford will challenge Glenbrook South at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lane Tech, they will be taking part in a tournament against Gulliver Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lane Tech is facing Gulliver Prep at the right time seeing as Gulliver Prep is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
