Timberline and Borah are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Timberline Wolves' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Borah Lions at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you drain six more threes than your opponent, a fact Timberline proved on Thursday. They walked away with a 51-40 victory over Ridgevue. Given Timberline's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Ridgevue is ranked 43rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Alex Ko, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kole Hudson, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, Borah didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Boise on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 44-40 victory. The win was just what Borah needed coming off of a 63-43 defeat in their prior match.
Timberline's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Borah, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Timberline was able to grind out a solid victory over Borah in their previous meeting back in February, winning 49-38. Will Timberline repeat their success, or does Borah have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
