The Coffee Trojans put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Statesboro 51-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for Coffee, who have now won five matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Fred Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 166 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Brown was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Anthony Paulk was in the mix as well, providing Coffee with two touchdowns.
Coffee's win on Friday bumped their record up to 7-0. Statesboro has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Coffee will be playing in front of their home fans against Jenkins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jenkins will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Coffee is ranked 21st). As for Statesboro, they will head out on the road to face off against Bradwell Institute at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
