Kent Denver found their leader in underclassman Caleb Fay, who scored 30 points along with five assists and four steals. Fay is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Gonnella, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 0 assists.
Eagle Ridge Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Wanrow, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Wanrow has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 16 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Elias Legarda, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Kent Denver's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.9 points per game. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Kent Denver will be playing at home against Manual at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Averaging 84.85 points so far this season, Kent Denver's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Manual better be ready for a challenge. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Stargate School at 2:30 p.m. Hopefully Eagle Ridge Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Thursday.
