Softball Recap: Mcgavock Has No Trouble Against Cane Ridge

McGavock won the last time they faced Cane Ridge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Raiders blew past the Ravens 15-7. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by seven runs or more this season.

McGavock got a massive performance out of Riley Phillips, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cailyn Ekberg, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

McGavock was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cane Ridge only posted a batting average of .312.

McGavock is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cane Ridge, they moved to 7-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

McGavock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cane Ridge, they will square off against Overton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Ravens surely won't give up without a fight.
