There's no place like home for the Independence Patriots, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They took down Glendale 69-55 on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Independence got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Colonna out in front who scored 20 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Diego Martinez was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five steals and two blocks.
Independence's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Glendale, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Independence will take on Copper Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Copper Canyon is ranked 245th, while Independence is ranked 231st). As for Glendale, they will be playing at home against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
