The Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday the Pine Hill Warriors proved too difficult a challenge. They took down the Cowboys/Cowgirls 56-42.
It was another big night for Brett Baker, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Channing James, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Pine Hill has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Cliff, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Hill will take on Northwest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9. As for Cliff, they will head out on the road to square off against Animas at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
