Even though the St. Paul Knights scored an imposing 57 points on Friday, the Burncoat Patriots still came out on top. Burncoat walked away with a 64-57 victory over St. Paul. Given Burncoat's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while St. Paul is ranked 144th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Burncoat got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jean Carlos Pimental out in front who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cheyton Marshall, who scored 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Burncoat and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for St. Paul, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burncoat will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against North at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for St. Paul, they will square off against Algonquin Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Algonquin Regional is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
