The Bishop Manogue Miners will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Damonte Ranch Mustangs at 11:30 a.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bishop Manogue has three straight wins, Damonte Ranch has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Bishop Manogue on the road against Reno as the team secured a 39-6 win. The result was nothing new for Bishop Manogue, who have now won three games by 29 points or more so far this season.
Bishop Manogue's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathan Simmons led the charge by picking up 109 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Caden Evans was another key contributor, throwing for 180 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Damonte Ranch had to settle for a 27-24 defeat against Reed on Thursday.
Bishop Manogue's win bumped their season record to 5-3 while Damonte Ranch's loss dropped theirs to 4-4.
