Pennington found a leader in Connor Timmerman as the squad took down Vinemont on Monday. Timmerman turned in nothing short of a gem, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last five matchups.

Timmerman's effort led Pennington over Vinemont and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long.
