Jael Espinal Sanchez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, Jeret Torres was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Joen Espinal was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Westampton Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mastery only posted an OBP of .357.

Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Medford Tech, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
Medford Tech skirted past Westampton Tech 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
